Chiang Mai is becoming home to many more Shopping Centers and Malls, with huge
developments.. Some projects are already open and other are under way. Here are some of the
malls you can expect to see

1.    Central Festival Chiang Mai

Central Festival is now open.  It is located At the intersection of the superhighway and Chiangmai-Doi Saket Road, Fa
Ham Sub-district, Muang District.   The project consists of Central Department Store and over 250 retail shops as well
as parking lot for over 2,000 vehicles. There are food courts, restaurants, a Depot Office, B2S, Super Sport, fitness
centre, SFX Cinema, loads more chains and many small retailers.

2.      Promenada Resort Mall Chiang Mai

The promenada is now open.  The concept here is ‘resort mall’, which kind of means that shopping might feel like a
holiday.  Complete with canals and waterfalls   As you stroll through the mall you are supposed to feel ‘nature’ around
you,  Expect to see gardens, a canal, lots of trees and flowers, it will house a Rimping supermarket, Chi Chang, Sports
World, Major Hollywood cinema. There will also be bowling and ice skating.
Location is the Chiang Mai-Sankampaeng Road, just off the Super Highway turning.

3.       Chiang Mai Platinum Fashion Centre

The Platinum mall will be situated in the Chiang Mai Business Park, near Big C Express. It is a six storey building that
will be a centre for small and medium sized fashion and IT product shops.   There will be up to 2,000 shops in here.  
The grand shopping mall; the largest retail and wholesale fashion mall in northern area and it is hoped that the mall
will be open in 2014.

4.       Green Plus Mall 2

Located in the Chiang Mai Business Park across from the Platinum. It will be home to small retailers and eateries.

5.       Star Avenue

Star Avenue has two branches already and a third project is on the way. Star Avenue 3, or Star Avenue Viva Terrace,
is now under construction and will open 19th May 2012. It will be at Mahidol Road, near Chiang Mai Airport. The third
project will be the same as the other projects and will be home to small private retailers and restaurants and none of

6.     @Curve

This two storey community mall is on Chang Klan Road. The first floor will be home to the ‘Plaza’ and there you’ll find
B2S, Watsons, Wawee Coffee, and some other small retail outlets. The second floor is going to be an ‘Education
Centre’. There you’ll find a Tutor School, Language Institution, and Overseas Study Corporations. It will be open 1st
November 2012.

7.     The Chill Park

 Across from Big C Hang Dong 1, The Chill Park will be Chiang Mai’s first pet friendly mall with places to
take and play with your dog.  parently you’ll be able to take your dog in and out of any shop.  plus there will be
gardens and places to relax with your pet. They plan to open at the end of the year.

8.     V Community

This project is now open
. It is located close to Payap University. There are 4 zones which make up a commercial
plaza and a park. The plaza zone has lots of shops and places to eat .  345 Moo 3, Tambon Sai district, Chiang Mai

9.       The Harbour

 This community mall is on Huay Keaw Road, and if you haven’t seen it yet then we can tell you that it is
intended to look just like a harbor. There will be clothing shops, restaurants and other smal retail outlets here. The
main thing will be clothing and fashion, and small boutiques will come up from Bangkok. You ca find some of the
outlets that will come to Chiang Mai at Terminal 21, JJ market, and Asia Teak in Bangkok.  
The Habour opens daily from 10.30 a.m. – 11.30 p.m.

10.     Maya Shopping Mall

Maya opened February 2014.  This mall is located on the corner of Huay Kaew Rd and Super Highway.  Maya is a
special retail center, aiming to be the icon and landmark of Chiang Mai. "Building as Art", "Window of Nimman" is the
concept of the project.   Size 80,000 Sq m

Floor 1. Strolling Mart. area supermarkets and department Take Home.

Floor 2. Cosmo Boullevard. center for fashion and beauty products, world-class brands from all over the world.

Floor 3. Stylish Avenue. including fashion goods and accessories brand in the world.
